A Liquid echo of the island’s wild beauty
SILKY, RICH WITH VELVETY SOFTNESS
At the northern edge of Tasmania lies King Island, a remote haven shaped by the relentless Roaring Forties winds. These powerful westerlies sweep unbroken across the vast Indian Ocean, bringing some of the cleanest air and purest rainwater on Earth.
King Island Rain is a testament to this purity. This single malt whisky incorporates King Island rainwater, resulting in a spirit as refined as the wilderness it comes from. The rain’s super-low mineral content creates an extraordinary mouthfeel, balancing richness with a velvet softness that evolves with time.
On the nose, sweet crème anglaise weaves through delicate notes of guava and lychee, with a freshness reminiscent of dew on citrus leaves. The palate is silky and rich, unfolding in layers of baked peach, spiced pear compote, and a whisper of fennel seed for depth. A long, graceful finish lingers with toasted brioche, white chocolate sauce, and zesty nectarine—an echo of the island’s wild beauty.

THE ANGEL'S CASK
SOLD OUT
In the far back corner of one of our original bond stores, where Tasmania’s wilderness makes its presence felt in every beam and board, a small 100L Muscat Cask quietly endured the island’s unforgiving climate. Positioned in the hottest spot of the bond store, Single Cask #LD3059 was exposed to the dramatic temperature swings of Tasmania’s super climate, where cold snaps collide with summer highs. This relentless cycle of expansion and contraction pushed the whisky deep into the muscat oak, coaxing it to breathe and evolve. What remained in the cask was something extraordinary, a whisky shaped by time, heat, and the transformative power of nature.
The Angel’s Cask is rich and bold, bursting with aromas of raisins, sticky toffee pudding, and ripe figs, wrapped in the honeyed sweetness of muscat. On the palate, lush stewed plums and dark chocolate ganache meet a drizzle of caramel, brightened by a spark of cinnamon spice. The long, indulgent finish lingers with candied fruits, toasted oak, and a gentle embrace of nutmeg.
The Angel’s Cask is a story of resilience, a liquid echo of the island’s wild beauty. From the angel’s share lost to the heavens, to the bold spirit left behind.
