THE 2026 FIRE HORSE LIMITED EDITION
A symbol of power and perseverance
This Lunar New Year, LARK celebrates reunion – the journeys we take, the traditions we honour, and the moments we share.
Inspired by the great migration of family and friends, the 2026 Fire Horse Edition is a tribute to the threads that connect us across time, place, and heritage. A symbol of power and perseverance, the Fire Horse brings with it a year of unyielding spirit and connection.
Matured in small first-fill sherry and port casks, and finished in Seppeltsfield Tawny barrels, this exclusive Tasmanian Single Malt embodies great depth and rich viscosity, capturing the fire and elegance of its namesake.

BEHIND THE ARTWORK
Crafted in Tasmania’s whisky super-climate, the Fire Horse Limited Release is as rich and layered as the stories woven into its design.
Designed by artist Chris Yee, this edition reflects journeys of connection – waves forming the Fire Horse, wood textures evoking Cradle Mountain, and flight paths in the sky symbolising reunion, movement, and homecoming.
“With the 2026 Year of the Horse design, I wanted to highlight the importance of natural elements, water and land shared in the mythos of both Asian and Australian cultures. From drawn sketches to digital applications, I visualised elements of fire, wood and water, all of which are part of the distilling process. The night sky illustration showcases the majesty of Cradle Mountain and abstract paths of journey, connection and travel that matter most at this special time of year.” – Chris Yee
about the artist
MEET CHRIS YEE
Chris Yee is a Sydney-based artist, illustrator, designer and animator specialising in traditional “pen and paper” methodologies. He believes in the power of character and storytelling and is heavily drawn to constructing narratives with a sense of place. Inspired by Comics, Wrestling, K-pop, punk and 2000’s rap – it is the Hyperreal and grey area within these genres, the blurring believability between reality and fiction that he finds most engaging.
Growing up in 90s Ryde amongst the strong communities of Eastwood, Chris is a proud member of the evolving Asian-Australian creative identity. He strongly believes there is a unique character and original narrative found within this changing community. In recent years, he took the main stage as a keynote speaker for Semi-Permanent’s 2023 Festival. Chris was chosen as one of the lead figures to represent Modern Asian-Australian’s as part of the launch of the ‘Museum of Chinese Australia (MOCA)’ in Sydney, Australia.
