Lark Distilling Co. launches Oloroso
Tasmania’s Lark Distilling Co. has released Oloroso Cask Release just in time for Valentine’s Day. A mouth-watering medley of buttery baked goods and sweet puffs of peat, Oloroso Cask Release is a syrupy single malt with a wonderful light viscosity and the perfect gift for your loved one this February.
Head Distiller Chris Thomson snapped up two Australian Oloroso-style casks from Seppeltsfield, hand-selected to finish a combination of ex-Sherry and ex-peated Port single malts from our Coal Valley Distillery. The result is an intoxicating combination of toasted pastries and subtle peat smoke with a classic Oloroso finish, melting into warm butter and slowly browning bread... the unmistakable aromas that waft outside your local bakehouse in the early moments of the morning.
“Oloroso is a delicious and luxurious option for both the whisky connoisseur and whisky beginner as it is impeccably smooth on the nose, all the way to it’s lasting impressions on the palate. With tasting notes of meadow honey, frangipani and puf y golden syrup dumplings, this is a delectable yet elegant gift option for yourself or your loved one this Valentine’s Day”.
