Set amongst meticulously restored 1800s buildings, LARK Distillery at Pontville is the beating heart of Tasmanian single malt whisky — the iconic home of Australia’s oldest and most innovative whisky distillery.

Just 30 minutes north of Hobart, this historic estate invites you to step inside a fully operational whisky village, complete with bond stores, a working cooperage, and a rich sense of Tasmanian heritage. Visitors describe Pontville as “inspiring,” “beautiful,” and “steeped in history” — a place where landscape, architecture, and craftsmanship come together to tell the story of modern Australian whisky.

LARK Pontville Distillery is open every day 10am - 4pm. Distillery Tours run every day at 12pm and 2pm and cost $69/person.
