EMBRACE THE NIGHT
Dark Mofo 2026
Dark Mofo returns to Hobart from 11-22 June 2026 – twelve days of art, ritual, music and fire that transform Tasmania's capital into something the daylight hours simply cannot contain. In its thirteenth year, the festival doubles down on its darkest instincts: large-scale installations, boundary-pushing performances, and a program that invites you into the night.
The Winter Feast gathers thousands around fire and food. The Nude Solstice Swim greets the longest night with three thousand brave souls in the icy waters of Long Beach. And across the city, artists from around the world have come to show you what darkness really looks like.
Featured at The Winter Feast, and across our three venues, LARK will be there too – making the nights of Dark Mofo worth staying up for.
This year, festival goers will have an exclusive first-taste (and first dibs) of Dark Lark No.166 Special Edition at our Hobart venues ahead of the official release on 08.07.2026.

GOTHAM at The Still
The Still is LARK's flagship whisky and cocktail bar, located in the historic Mercury Print Room on Argyle Street. For Dark Mofo, it transforms into something altogether darker and more electric – GOTHAM. DARK LARK takes over the bar, the menu, and the atmosphere for the duration of the festival, as well as curated experiences – High Tea with Heidi and the return of the Listening Lounge.
High Tea with Heidi: Saturday 12th, Sunday 13th, Saturday 19th, Sunday 20th June.
The Listening Lounge: Thursday to Saturday, 4pm til late.
Our gin martini and freshly shucked oysters Happy Hour Wednesday to Sunday – 4pm-6pm and Wednesday Jazz nights (5:30pm-8:30pm) will be running during the festival – the ideal way to begin any Dark Mofo evening.
A brand new food offering and a list of expertly crafted cocktails, focusing on classics with Tasmanian/Australian producers at the forefront is available now. From the cream in our Irish Coffee to the red bitters in the Negroni, we’re bringing the warmth in more ways than one.
