THE KNOTTED TREE AND GOLDEN LARK
an exquisite limited release
This year's seasonal Lunar New Year Limited Release, “The Knotted Tree and Golden Lark,” is a tribute to both the cultural richness of the Lunar New Year and the natural beauty of Tasman. Matured in select small first fill sherry and port casks, this Tasmanian whisky offers a rich tapestry of flavours to mark the occasion.
Discover inviting aromas of nutmeg and pomegranate, with hints of smoke and praline. The silky palate unfolds with smooth layers of chocolate, ripe stone fruits, and a warm sherry richness, rounded out by the taste of dates and pecan. As the southern winds usher in the festivities, a red oriental thread lands on Tasmania’s fertile soil, magically transforming into a majestic tree heralded by a golden lark —a symbol of happiness, prosperity, love, and luck for the New Year.
The design of this limited edition by Chinese Artist Menghui Huang showcases this enchanting story, with the Knotted Tree at the center, sprouting from the iconic Tasmanian landscape and blossoming with oranges, peonies, and cherry blossoms. A golden LARK bird, carrying a lantern, illuminates the scene embodying the joy and wonder of the Lunar New Year.
